We’ve already talked in-depth about the LG 65UN7300PUF, a smart TV that has managed to take the market by storm through a very simple strategy; deliver a big-sized smart TV with high-end features at a popular price point.

That said, this isn’t the only model to comprise LG’s UN7300 lineup, and today we take on the task of tackling its little brother, the LG43UN7300PUF, a model that’s managed to garner quite a gathering thanks to its following of the same basic principles respected by the 65-inch model; being a very affordable smart TV with novel features.

Amongst said features, this TV stands out thanks to its filmmaker mode, its who, what, where smart function, its crisp image, and gaming mode which will undoubtedly seduce you as well. For whom it is?

The LG 43UN7300PUF is the most suitable TV set for those looking to upgrade the old living room TV for a modern large Smart TV (43 ''), whose intelligent UI platform simplifies access to the streaming services most demanded by users.

In that regard, its LG Magic Remote wireless control , thanks to the integrated microphone, allows you to search for content with your voice, and even "ask your TV questions" about what it is you're watching, who's that actor and even control your smart home's connected devices. That's definitely one of our favorite features. Also, if you're an avid sports fan you should also know that the 43UN7300PUF keeps track of your sports teams and makes it a point to let you know when they're playing.

Alternatively, if you are looking to enjoy an even more immersive experience, without sacrificing your entire budget, you can opt for the 55-inch variant ( LG 55UN7300PUF ) or the 65-inch (LG 65UN7300PUF ).

LG 43UN7300PUF: 50 '' 4K Smart TV with webOS and Ultra Surround Sound

An aesthetic that never ceases to amaze

At first glance the truth is that this TV doesn't really stand out. Sure enough its design is attractive and modern but there's nothing new under the sun when looking at it.

For the support, it repeats the well-known formula defined by two robust “V” shaped legs , whose location at both ends manages to keep it stable under practically any condition.

In addition, this model supports VESA-type brackets, being ideal for those who prefer to anchor it on the wall. Specifically, for this model you would need a 200 by 200 mm mount such as this one.

As far as picture quality is concerned, the UN7300PUF series packs a punch and offers a very vivid image but let's not kid ourselves and pretend we're talking about an OLED display with inky blacks because we're not. We're talking about an affordable mid range Smart TV with 4K resolution and a lot of interesting features.

In that regard, colors are nice and vibrant, brightness is good and overall the watching experience is very pleasant. We particularly enjoy the included "filmmaker mode" which takes the movie you're watching and tries to emulate the coloring the creator intended when producing said picture. There's also HDR10 Pro technology to offer you a richer picture which, while not as good as it is on higher-end models, is still a valued feature.

The multimedia software that users demand so much

webOS: Optimized to squeeze the full potential of your TV

When it comes down to choosing a smart TV picking out an interface is almost as important as choosing based on picture quality. And fortunately for us, when you choose web OS you can hardly go wrong. In case you're new to the Smart TV scene, webOS is LG's premier operating system for its smart TV's and one of the most popular ones due to its easy to use interface, it's spectacular magic remote integration as well as its slew of compatible apps and content.

On that note, we would be remiss if we didn't point out that this TV set is compatible with Google Assistant and Alexa through the use of the Magic Remote and it features support for some of the words most popular streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and perhaps most notably; Apple TV.

Add to that a truly smart Magic Remote which allows us to seamlessly interact with the TV through a moving cursor, the inclusion of a microphone to give commands to our TV set, control your household smart appliances, and the fact that it learns what our favorite shows are to organize them are just some of the reasons we, as well as most clients, end up falling in love with this TV set as we can appreciate on the customer reviews.

What about sound quality?

It's worth pointing out that while this TV has its normally limited speaker system (10W) it's more than enough for most of us.

However, if you're a true audio buff then you'll be happy to know that this set comes with ultra surround technology to deliver an immersive experience be it by attaching a sound bar or by wirelessly connecting a couple of True Wireless Stereo Speakers.  On that note, we would recommend getting a set of Tronsmart T6 Plus as the sound quality when paired with a TV set is simply phenomenal.

However, you always have the ability to connect a powerful soundbar, and thus enjoy true home theater sound, powered by Ultra Surround technology .

The connections your multimedia devices need

As we close in on the end of this review we would also like to point out this TV's integration of
AirPlay 2 and HomeKit , to mirror the screen, share content and control compatible home devices from Apple terminals. A nifty feature that's far from common these days and already saves you money by allowing you to save on buying an Apple TV.

Likewise, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 5 technologies are incorporated , an RJ-45 network port, a component input combined with AV video output and 3 HDMI ports

Additionally,  there's also a couple of USB inputs , an optical audio output (S / PDIF), an RF connector and the respective analog and digital tuners (ATSC and Clear QAM).

Conclusion, opinions and where we can buy it cheaper

Without having to spend a large sum of money, the LG 43UN7300PUF allows you to enjoy all the advantages of having a smart TV at home, including the voice control functions implemented by the South Korean firm in its most recent models.

In short, its image quality and color fidelity stand out above other low-cost Smart TVs from the competition, the connectivity is quite balanced and modern, and the sound section, despite not standing out at the beginning, can be easily improved with external solutions, be it through a soundbar or through the connection of wireless Bluetooth speakers.

All in all, a Smart TV that's definitely earned its place amongst the top sellers in Amazon and one which we can see hoarding that spot for many months to come as its price to spec relationship is very hard to beat.
